Maybe God's not a telepath? That would cause him to not notice a lot of things, like prayers. We just expect God to be telepathic, but why do we?

Or, maybe God IS a telepath, and he's so closely attuned to all of human experience, that he is able to tell that there is indeed more good things being experienced than bad.

But still, other than the chain of freewill, I don't understand why things are so bad.
